typophile film festival 4

opening credits

As a class at Brigham Young University, we worked with Punchcut/Typophile to create the opening, closing, and interstitial credits for the 4th annual Typophile Film Festival held at TypeCon in Seattle, July of 2007. The story told is of a man from conception to the pearly gates on the other side—all through the typography that we encounter and interact with on a day-to-day basis. It's interesting that no identity or personal characteristics of any sort are offered—just the story of life in fast-forward—and yet at nearly every showing a large percentage of the crowd was left misty-eyed.

Credits: Art Director, Music Director, Designer (several scenes), Animator (few scenes).
